Farmers’ markets are all the rage in recent years, and have been held in virtually every quarter of Prague since 2010 on a regular basis.

I had fun documenting this part of our lives with Sarah. We can't wait to share more local places we love in Springfield and other cities we visit often.
Yet these are not just markets to visit to go shopping; in addition to the fruit, vegetables, flowers and farm produce you will also find here some perfectly made coffee, hot food ranging from gourmet hamburgers to toasted sandwiches, sweet and savoury pancakes, grilled goodies, beer, wine, healthy juices and syrups and much else besides. In the winter season, only some of the marketplaces are open, with a limited offering. Some are open only one day a week, so the visit to the market can become a ritual of sorts. Some include musical performances, or have picnic tables at the ready for their visitors.Jeremy cooks and grills at home often, so he likes to pick up fresh veggies and meat for his weekly dinners.I'm mostly in it for salad ingredients and fresh juice. This week we saw a baby pug, and Jeremy had a momentary lapse in judgement and told me we could get another puppy (he took it back later—haha). While you are at the Farmer’s Market, you can use the Farmer’s Market Challenge printable to have a little competition with your spouse and get educated about the workings of the Farmer’s Market. You may want to grab a clipboard for the challenge and basket to collect your produce! bring your fruits and veggies home and work together in the kitchen to make a delicious meal.
